You are seriously a dummy if you go to Minneapolis and don’t hit one of these. The beef sambusa with the green hot sauce and steak plate and plantains…nomnomnom and the girls working the counter are adorable and friendly. It rocks and I took mine on Amtrak to Chicago. It’s only expensive if you order too much! Go!!
Great place! I got the lamb gyro and a side of the sweet plantain. Both were delicious. It’s a great place if you work/are walking around downtown.
I tried the veggie platter and plantains and they were both great and I've been full for hours. Delicious!
Food is absolutely delicious and fairly priced. The lamb Chapati wrap (side of the best fries ever included) is my go to, but the samosas and plantains are also great. I’ve gotten takeout a number of times and the food is always fresh and prepared quickly! Will return again and again.
Afro Deli catered our 80th birthday party of 19 guests. We ordered sambusas, coconut shrimp, chicken wings, salad, plantains, pita, hummus, tea...everything was delicious. The delivery was on time. So reasonably priced. Love this place. Danny was so accommodating in late changes and additions!
So far I've tried the Keke beef, Chapati wrap with lamb, beef and chicken Sambusas, chicken wings and fried plantains and they were all ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! Can't wait to try more of the menu!!
A must visit for the savvy East African taste buds seeker: the chai hits home buds, the chapati wrap, the sambusa, the sweet plantains... And much more. Thanks a million for the home tastes! #auric
I love this place. Almost everything on the menu is sure to be delicious. You can't go wrong with their sides of fries or plantains.
The chapati bread is incredible by itself. The plantains were fried to just-charred perfection. All three kinds of sambusas were flavorful and the outside was light and crispy. I was only sad there were no fruit juices. The service is outstanding.
